VECVOXX

VecVoxX is a speakjet based device that allows Vectrex games to use synthesized speech!

Richard Hutchinson from www.vectrex.biz engineered a brilliant piece of Vectrex add-on called VecVoice. Years later he did a VecVox based on the speakjet and added a chip for VecVoice compatibility.

Unluckily his VecVox never had a plastic casing with build in speaker so I redesigned the PCB, added a build-in speaker and called it VecVoxX (X stands for extended). The VecVoxX is 100% compatible to the VecVox and VecVoice.

NOTE: The VecVoxX std. will most likely be discontinued since a seperate lightpen will be available for only 19 EUR.

Future Vectrex games will support 2 Player games, 3D games or lightpen games with VecVoxX enabled so you can connect your 3D Imager, gamepad or lightpen (base) to the loopthru port.

The dev. version has a build in RS232 port allowing you to connect the vecvoxx to a PC serial port allowing you to use the Phraselator software for ultimate voice synthesis fun (and developing sound effects and speech for your vectrex games of course ;-))
